Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR)

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) is AAKAAR’s commitment to reaching families and individuals who cannot access centre-based services due to distance, poverty, or lack of awareness. Aligned with the WHO CBR Matrix, our CBR programme works at the grassroots level to promote disability inclusion across five core domains: Health, Education, Livelihood, Social, and Empowerment.

Our CBR workers conduct regular home visits, community outreach camps, and school-based interventions to ensure that no individual is denied support simply because they live far from our centre.

• School Inclusion Support — helping children with disabilities access mainstream schools
• Linkage with District Disability Rehabilitation Centres (DDRC)
